Orlando Body Shop in Central FL Experience and History
Ace Paint & Body Works began in a small shop space off Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando in 1995. This auto body shop in Orlando was our humble beginning, and the place was just a piece of land with a porta potty for a bathroom. Suffice to say our automotive shop has come a long way since then.
The body shop owner, Sam, purchased the business from a previous owner that was in the business of fixing and selling cars at the auction. This worked for a few years, but Sam wanted to get out of the buying and selling car trade and into the autobody trade. He discovered he had a real passion for auto body repair and wanted to make a difference for Orlando. This is when Ace Paint & Body Works started doing auto body repairs such as bumper collision repairs and fender collision repairs for Orange County Sheriff’s Office, rental vehicle companies, and fleet vehicles for utility companies.
Collision Repair in Orlando – Our Bodyshop Birth and Growth (from Gerber to Green)
Slowly but surely Ace Paint & Body Works opened up to the public and started repairing vehicles that belonged to people with a face and not just a corporate entity. Now that we were face to face with individuals who drove the vehicles, we learned a new challenge, the challenge of providing great customer service and making customers fans not just happy! It wasn’t something we learned overnight. We learned the organic way of trial and error; there was no formal training at the time. We learned that bending over backward for our customers was a whole lot more important than the bottom line.
Sam’s son Rick joined the Ace Paint and Body Works team in 2009 as a full-time employee. Rick worked in the family business growing up as a high school and college kid. Rick studied at U.C.F. and learned about operating a small business which included customer service training, and his formal degree was in Business Management which helped him serve Ace Paint & Body Works customers at a higher standard.
We understood at Ace Paint & Body Works that it’s the small things that add up and bring meaning and value to our customers. Here are some little details that we learned matter to our customers besides fixing the vehicle.

Now besides the small details, there are several other reasons why you should choose Ace Paint & Body Works for your Auto Body Repair needs.

What to do if you auto body shop is taking too long
Occasionally, we have seen complex body repairs take longer with other body shops. While it is difficult to expedite repairs at another shop, you may consider contacting your insurance company to find out what the standard should be for the type of repair you are facing. Further if they are rated well and contracted by your insurance company, they are motivated to keep their customer rating high (just like we are), which includes deliverying your repair in an acceptable timeframe. You may consider having a conversation with the auto body shop to find out what they can do. We are always open and make every possible attempt to help manage your expectations from the start. Our Google and Top Yelp Reviews tell all.
You can do your research about our auto body shop and discover the difference our bodyshop is making for our Orlando customers.
